Minister of Economy of Georgia met with representatives of BYD

Vice Prime-Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili met with Isbrand Ho, CEO of BYD China in Europe and Mr. Rauf Khalilov - CEO of ISR Holding, which represents BYD in the region. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of Economy - Irakli Nadareishvili and Guram Guramishvili.

As it was mentioned at the meeting, BYD Corporation, which is one of the largest manufacturers of electric cars, buses and electric batteries in the world, plans to expand in the region and consider Georgia as one of the locations for business development.

Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili provided detailed information to potential investors about Georgia’s investment climate and liberal business environment. He also focused on government business support programs in Georgia, noting that government support and development programs for large institutional investors are successfully operating in the country.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working to further develop cooperation with BYD Corporation.
